Welcome to the wedding of Jennifer Love and Stefan Blake!

Birds are singing, beautiful people are mingling and the free bar is flowing. Yes, it was all going tickety-boo until someone murdered the best man…

Before You Get Started.

Make sure your camera and microphone are working properly so you can join the zoom invitation sent around by the organiser.

When you enter the zoom call, change your name to the character you are playing - this will help everyone stay in character!

Make sure you have everyone's contact number so you can get in touch with the other characters. We encourage you to have private conversations with each other to try and solve this crime. The secrets are hidden everywhere, you just need to find them.

If you are having a private conversation - mute your microphone on zoom! Other players will see that you’re on a call, but they won’t be able to hear the details…

Detective Timothy Toole (played by the game) will provide you with clues throughout the experience to help you all along. We recommend clicking through these every 15 minutes, but it’s really up to you if you feel you need more or less time. Whatever you decide, do it together as a group!

If you are the organiser, share your computer screen on Zoom so that everyone can play along together and view the clues. Make sure you also change your audio settings so everyone can hear the audio clips that are part of your journey. Go to "Share Screen" and tick "Share computer sound" on the bottom left corner before sharing the screen.

How To Play.

Everyone should have read their character bio beforehand, and ideally have it open on a separate device or separate tab to refer back to if needed.

If you are the murderer, you will know.

Detective Timothy Toole (played by the game) will provide you with clues throughout the experience to help you all along. There are 7 clues in total and we recommend clicking to reveal a new clue every 15 minutes… but it’s really up to you if you need more or less time. Whatever you decide - do it together as a group!

In between clue reveals, you need to try and use your relationships to trade information and try to uncover the murderer! Private chats and calls are very much encouraged. Remember, you are playing solo - so think carefully about which information to trade, and which to keep to yourself! Get creative with ways to throw people off and use your character’s relationships to get ahead!

Start the game by having each player introduce their character on the call, and revealing the first clue.

How To Guess The Murderer.

Option 1

Everyone holds onto their guess until the very end.

Option 2

Anyone can publicly accuse someone of being the murderer mid-game, and the accusation (and time) is noted down. HOWEVER, if this is the case, the murderer does not confirm or deny the accusation, the game play simply continues until the end. Everyone can only make one guess so it’s important you’re confident! When the murderer is finally revealed, take a look at the accusations and the first person to correctly name the murderer is the winner.

General Rules.

We have some simple rules for you to follow in order to have the most fun and keep the game moving. Please make sure you adhere to them at all times!

1 /

Everyone wants to win the game and be the person who correctly solves the crime.

You should avoid sharing too much of your findings with other people unless they are an ally or you have an ulterior motive to do so. You all have enemies amongst the players and don’t want them to solve the crime before you do.

This means avoiding questions like “Who was the last person to see the victim alive?” in the public chat/call. Piece together this information yourself.

2 /

Try to answer all questions honestly, unless your character bio says otherwise, the game relies heavily on the input of all players. Use all the information provided in your character bios to keep the plot moving!

3 /

We have listed some Character Goals for each of you to achieve throughout the duration of the night. They are at the end of your character documents.

Follow the tips and advice, it’s for the benefit of the plot and your own characters.

4 /

Your character profile will tell you if you are the murderer.

If you need a bit of help with the timeline of events, you can use this handy guide during your murder mystery party
