A ZESTY START
To The left
Piattelli Premium Reserve

Snapper Ceviche
We have paired this with lime cured snapper, pickled apple, cucumber, sunflower seed, chilli and coriander. This method of cooking does not involve any heat, the acid from the lime juice cure the fish.
Why they are the perfect pair
The fresh apricot and lychee with a hint of orange zest is a great match for the Piattelli. See if you can taste the citrus finish on your palate. This particular match is known as a really "balanced" match with a great fragrance wine.
A VELVETY TOUCH
In the middle
Ruca Malen Malbec
Our next tasting is another delicious wine called the 2016 Ruca Malen Malbec from Valle De Uco, Mendoza. This complex and elegant wine is layered with concentrated and juicy flavours. It has smooth and velvety tannins with an edge of acidity that keeps it fresh through the long finish.
+
Meat Empanada
We have paired this with one of the most popular Argentinian street foods - empanada!A meat empanada has beef, egg, garlic, onion, olive, capsicum, oregano, chilli and paprika. Empanadas are an Argentine staple and can be found in many flavours at any gathering, both casual and fancy.
Why they are the perfect pair
See if you can taste the black cherries and plum with violet aromas in the wine. This Malbec is also a very good complimentary wine that brings out the flavours and spices in the meat.
TRADITION AT ITS FINEST
To the right
Lurton Piedra Negra Late Harvest Pinot Gris
Your last tasting is the 2018 Lurton Piedra Negra Late Harvest Pinot Gris from Valle de Uco, Mendoza. It’s light and fresh with a great balance between sweetness and acidity.
+
Alfajor
Alfajores are what Argentinian’s have after breakfast, lunch and after dinner. This golden buttery biscuit is mixed with dulce de leche which makes for a delicious and perfect treat.
Why they are the perfect pair
San Telmo’s slightly lighter cookie perfectly complements a lighter wine, just like this late harvest Pinot Gris. Whereas heavy recipes pair well with fortified wine.
