Calling all musicians and lovers of music!

There’s no better place to experience live music than in Nashville, Tennessee. David Cobb of WSM Radio was the first to give Nashville its nickname of Music City. The music industry changed forever with the Grand Ole Opry radio show, a tradition that continues today. Many well-renowned artists such as Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, George Strait, Garth Brooks, and Patsy Cline all got their start in Nashville, and they’ve certainly left their mark there!

Music Row plays a big role in the live music scene, providing up and coming entertainers with ample opportunity to strut their stuff and wow the crowds. Publishers and producers were first attracted to the area now known as Music Row because of its close proximity to the Nashville music scene and affordable real estate.

Soon, record studios and production buildings were pouring in. Perhaps the most well-known of these is the RCA studio, called Studio B, where the ‘Nashville sound’ was born. This mainstreamed country music in a way it had never been before, opening the style up to the entire world.

Music Row continues to be the hub of country music today.
