Challenge One
For your first challenge of the week, we’re bringing back a popular classic.
Find a hill with deliciously smelling, freshly cut grass and get rolling!
For a successfully completed challenge, get a video or photo of the whole family rolling and racing down the hill! Full speed ahead!
Challenge Two
Create a fleet of paper planes and see which flies the furthest!
Use crayons or markers to colour in the outside of your plane with stripes, shapes and logos - you’ll need to know whose plane belongs to who!
Then, everyone must line up together and see whose plane can fly the furthest.
Capture them on camera soaring through the air!

Pop on a hat and some sunscreen and head out for a walk around the neighbourhood in search of wonderful wildflowers.
Tip - head down laneways, the railway, to the beach or river - and don't be limited by flowers - leaves, seedpods, branches and dried grasses can look beautiful in a vase!
Pick a bunch and see if you have any ribbons lying around to wrap them into a bouquet - now take a picture of them being gifted to someone special.
Keep some for yourselves though!
Why not try some flower pressing? Place them inside a heavy book for a few days, then create spring collages with them. Or, you could even make a flower headbands and bracelets :)

Photography Tips
Want some advice on how to take the best photo?
Give these ideas a try.
Unless you are capturing a backdrop or large piece - try getting in close. Fill the frame with your subject to avoid too much wasted space!
Be aware of backgrounds - don’t let things like garbage bins or a passerby ruin your shot if you don’t want to intentionally include them in it! Change your angle or wait until people have passed by. It will be worth it!
See The Light! Take note of where the light is coming from - does it cast interesting shadows on your subject that you may want to capture or does it just hide the detail you need? Move around to find the best lit angle.
Using the flash isn’t just for night time - sometimes a bright day may create harsh shadows that you don’t like, so using the flash may allow a more even exposure.
Laugh, don’t smile...a well-timed joke will often lead to a more natural looking shot of your subject rather than a forced ‘cheese’
Try framing - is there something you could use to frame your focal point - e.g by shooting through a window or archway?
Keep it simple - try not to pack too much into your shot. Try focusing on one or two points of interest per shot.
