La Lune is Paul McGivern’s vision of the ideal wine bar: stylish, social, and inventive. Dressed in a provincial urban style and armed with a lengthy list of international wines, this South Brisbane retreat promises to intrigue every sense.
The bar occupies a ground-level space in the new Melbourne Residences apartment block on Melbourne Street, but fronts Fish Lane around the back of the building. While the building looks new and modern and the bar itself was established in 2017, McGivern was careful to make it look worn and comfortable rather than slick and bland.
With its name translating to ‘the moon’, the bar is a direct nod to Paul’s East Brisbane restaurant The Wolfe. Welcome to your own slice of Parisian luxury.

For your first taster, you will enjoy wines paired with a sampling of three delicious cheeses. You will learn all about the different beverages, what to notice and why we pair them each with certain flavours!
