Romance is in the air and no expense has been spared to celebrate you and your beloved’s wedding day. 

It’s 6.50pm, the speeches are over and everyone is gradually moving into the Sapphire Lounge, ready ready for the much anticipated newlywed first dance - it’s all very exciting!  

Something seems amiss, the Best Man, Jasper, was meant to announce the Bride and Groom to the floor but where is he? Everyone carries on gossiping, ordering drinks at the bar and commenting on Jennifer’s bridal beauty whilst Shonnee Hatton, the maid of honour, wanders off in search of Jasper. 

A minute later a harrowing scream cuts through the air. A group of guests run towards the noise and find Shonnee standing over a body, shaking. Jasper’s lifeless body is lying in a pool of blood, his blue eyes wide open, unblinking. 

A barman calls emergency services and a small swarm of officers flee to the venue, Detective Timothy Toole is in charge. 

There’s no denying it, someone has murdered the best man! 

There is no weapon to be found.

The wedding day has been a whirlwind of champagne fuelled scandals, chats and confrontations. The grounds are large and guests have been flowing through the lavish rooms all day.  Anyone could have have witnessed the murder and anyone could be the murderer. 

Can you piece together the timeline and solve this ghastly crime?! 

To solve the crime, you will need to ask your fellow players as many questions as possible, adhere to your background information as accurately as possible. 

The game is designed for 6-12 people. If you’re playing with less than 12 people the murderer may or may not be amongst you this evening and there might be references here and there to characters that aren’t playing.

You’re the dazzling Jennifer Love. 

This is your third marriage and you’re desperate for this one to work - you’re only 38 for crying out loud! 

You’re a D-List celeb who made it big when you starred on a reality TV show at just 20 years old. Soon after you married your on screen sweetheart but it didn’t last long, your daughter Ocean was born just as the divorce was settled. 

Although Stefan is a bit of a wet lettuce, you love that he’d do anything for you and he’s always at your beck and call. 

Five weeks ago though, you messed up big time. 

After an argument with Stefan about wedding expenses you stormed off in a huff and ended up at a local champagne bar when who strolled in? Jasper! You’ve never liked how Jasper belittles Stefan or strings along your best friend Shonnee who’s madly in love with him…. he was strangely compassionate that night though, a shoulder to cry on. Anyway you can guess what happened next - after a couple of margarita’s you both slinked off for a sloppy one night stand - Idiot!   

Now the slimeball is threatening to expose you on the wedding day if you don’t continue the affair! He’s also got access to some toppless modelling pics with a dodgy photographer when you were just 18. Grim. 

You hate him. How dare he ruin your happiness like this? 

You’re considering calling your estranged dad. You’ve not spoken in almost 15 years because of his links to the mob underworld and his terrible parenting but you’re getting so desperate - maybe he’ll know how to put a stop to it all?! 

Your sister, Amy, wouldn’t approve of this. You both changed your surnames to completely cut ties with him but she’s selfish and vein and wouldn’t understand what you’re going through.

You woke up with a feeling of dread in the pit of your stomach. Worried that Jasper might do something devastating, you panic called your dad and told him everything about Jasper and his attempts to blackmail you. He told you not to worry, he’d sort it. 

You arrived at August Grounds around 10am along with your daughter, sister and best friend.  The four of you spent an hour or so getting ready for the main event and you’re daughter gave you a bluebird broach to wear as your “something blue” - it was ghastly and didn’t match your style at all but you pinned it on anyway - this was not the day for petty battles with your daughter. 

Around 10:30am your phone went off and it was message from Jasper saying 

“I want to show the world how sexy you are. Jasper” 

Help! You could feel yourself blush and shake with fear, you hope no one noticed. 

As you walked up to the ceremony hall around 1pm you saw August and Jasper in what looked like a heated discussion. How odd... how do they even know each other? You practically run away, you're planning on avoiding Jasper at all costs today. 

You then bumped into your father, Vinnie Fowler! Yes you called him this morning but that still doesn’t mean he's allowed to show up at your wedding uninvited! You told him to lay low and not not cause a scene. 

After the wedding ceremony it was time for the photos, strategically you told Ocean that you couldn’t wear the brooch for the photos because it stole the limelight. You asked her to look after it just for a short while. 

The speeches were over by around 6.15pm and you finally could breathe a sigh of relief. Between Jasper’s sly best man’s speech and Ocean’s activism they left you a nervous wreck. You walked with Ocean into the Sapphire lounge and told her to keep a lid on it, this is not the day for drama despite how horrible he is. She looked at you questioningly, had you put your foot in it?! 

Frantically you look around for Stefan so that you could both take to the stage and show off your well rehearsed First Dance - you’d chosen Enrique Iglesias' "Hero" - what a classic! And where has the blooming photographer gone now?!

You found Stefan looking a bit disheveled and flustered - what on earth is going on? This was meant to be the best of your life?!  

Jasper was meant to announce you both to the dance floor but he was late so you asked Shonnee to go and find him. About 5-10 minutes later you heard her scream. 

When you hear the news you're in shock - surely your dad didn’t do this? This is way too theatrical for him, right?

You’ve only met Nelly a handful of times, Stefan is very close to her though, his parents passed away when he and Jasper were just in their teens.  

Vinnie Fowler - Your father 

This morning was the first time you’d spoken to Vinnie in 15 years. He was once part of the Wesley Crew gang and you put in danger a lot when you were young. This morning you got desperate and thought that maybe he could scare off Jasper somehow.

Ocean Love - Your daughter 

Ah Ocean. Despite being so different in personality, you and your daughter have always looked out for each other during tricky times. You know she hates Jasper but you can’t remember why, nevertheless you will protect her until the end. 

August Wilde - Venue owner and wedding coordinator

When you came to visit the venue during your research stages, August seemed so fun and breezy! After seeing him all flustered talking to Jasper you’re convinced somethings not right. 

Shonnee Hatton - Maid of honour 

Absolute best friend. Sadly she’s been in love with Jasper for the last two years. As far as you know, she doesn’t know anything about you and Jasper and she’d never suspect you of murder either. 

Amy Love - Bridesmaid - sister 

You and Amy changed your names from Fowler to Love when you cut ties with your father years ago. She’d never forgive you if she knew you reached out to him this morning. Sadly you’re not close anymore, she’s always in competition and she’d throw anyone under the bus if it made her famous. 

Three Nipple Nick - Wedding band member 

A few months back you saw Nick play at a festival and loved the band’s vibe - you asked him there and then to play at your wedding! You know very little about him other than he’s a talented oddball who breaks out into song during random points of conversation.

Having said this, Jasper’s death isn’t the end of the world, at least he will stop blackmailing you now and you didn’t have to get your hands dirty! You clearly have a motive though so you need to think carefully here..who knows your secret? Will people think you’re capable of this? Who is capable of this?

Could Stefan have guessed anything between you and Jasper? Why did he look a little dishevelled when he came into the Sapphire Lounge? Try and find out if he knows about you and Jasper but remember, if he doesn’t know then you’d much rather keep it that way and save your marriage! You must only confess to him if the pressure’s on and the detective has revealed his last clue.

Protect Ocean to the very end - she’s your daughter so if people start pointing fingers, you must protect her and steer the conversation away, you know deep inside that she’s not capable of this, others may not be so sure.

Be the first person to win the game by solving the murderer before anyone else! Be strong in your guess as you can only provide one answer!

You should avoid sharing too much of your findings with other people unless they are an ally or you have an ulterior motive to do so. You all have enemies amongst the players and don’t want them to solve the crime before you do. 

This means avoiding questions like “Who was the last person to see the victim alive?” in the public chat. Piece together this information yourself.

Try to answer all questions honestly, unless your character bio says otherwise, the game relies heavily on the input of all players. Use all the information provided in your character bios to keep the plot moving!

Try and achieve your  Character Goals throughout the duration of the night. They are there for the benefit of your own characters.
