Boost your flexibility, increase your energy for the day ahead, and relax your body and mind in the evening with gentle stretches for better overall well-being.

Start Your Day Right

  • Set aside 10 minutes each morning to stretch and wake up your body. Start by reaching your arms overhead, stretching tall, and then slowly bend down to touch your toes, holding for 10 seconds.

  • Roll your shoulders forward and backward for 10 reps. Then, sitting down, extend one leg out and stretch forward, holding for 10 seconds, and repeat on the other leg.

  • Finish with a deep breath and a sense of readiness for the day ahead.

Evening Wind-Down

  • Before bed, repeat your morning routine, but double it up for extra flexibility benefits. Add some arm circles by extending your arms and rolling them forward and backward for 10 reps each. This will help release any tension from the day and prepare your body for rest.

Take It Deeper

  • Incorporate lunges to deepen your stretch. Step your right foot forward into a lunge, ensuring your knee stays above your ankle, and sink your hips forward. Hold for 30 seconds and repeat on the left side.

  • To begin and end your routine, try the butterfly stretch: lie on your back, press the soles of your feet together, and let your knees drop open. Hold for 1 minute.

  • For a more comprehensive session, finish with a 10-minute yoga flow.
